my gigabyte motherboard {z390x gaming} died on me a few months ago. sent it to gigabyte because it was still under warranty.
they took 7 WEEKS {since tracking showed they received it} before I got an email message claiming that my motherboard was physically damaged {The components are oxidized }?
I've had the same computer case for about 7 years and I have never dealt with an oxidized issue, I use air cooling and fans only. I personally think this is bs so that they don't have to cover
it. I looked at the motherboard extensively before I sent it out for RMA and I couldn't find anything physically wrong with it. i already have a new motherboard {bought it the same day after the z390 gaming x stopped working}.

this is my situation and a lesson learned. I will never buy anything gigabyte again.

I've never had an "oxidized motherboard" failure out of many many builds used for years.
I must say though that I had an issue with an ASUS Z390-A board about 6 months ago and they had a replacement to me in under a week.\

I would demand that they escalate the decision to their supervisor and then his/her supervisor. 7 weeks and then a bogus reason not to replace sound fishy to me.
