Hello, I'm looking to disassemble and spray paint a Logitech G300 gaming mouse to match my yellowand black colour scheme. While I can change the LED details to yellow, the bottom of the mouse is a bright red. I know the basics to colouring plastic using spray paint, but I can't figure out how to dismantle the mouse so I can safely paint it. Any advice you could give would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance! :wahoo:

I cant say for sure with that mouse, but I bet if you remove the rubber/teflon feet you will find some screwholes underneath. Thats where they were on a Razer Deathadder I managed to kill while trying to mod it.

Oh yeah, be careful you dont accidentally pull off any soldered ribbon cables if you find any 😛

Alright, thanks. 😛

The spray-paint will come off on Your hand and on the mouse pad. Your hand is on the mouse constantly, moving it. That makes the paint come off.

I speak from experience.

You will end up replacing the mouse quickly after painting it.

that depends on the type of plastic, type of paint you use and how you seal it.

while true that some plastics (such as the type flower pots are made of) paint just doesnt seem to want to stick to this is not always the case.

people have been spray painting keyboards and mice for years without issue. sometimes the most important thing to do is a good primer which sticks to plastic.

i would look for a "spray paint computer mouse" link on google.

Hi
If you are only painting the bottom then why disassemble it,just put a small piece of insulating tape over the hole and smear some grease over the teflon glides, you will then be able to wipe the paint off the glides with a cloth after the paint has dried.

Thanks man! 😀 I might just do that.

Alright. :) Yeah, I feel like I need to do more research.
