So I just recent made a PC. I got a hand me down GPU from a friend, so I decided to get an upgrade since boxing day sale came up. Mind you this was my forst pc builb, so my cable management for my case is not the best right now. I was thinking that after I recieve my gpu, I was going to remove all my pc parts so that I can manage everything, for better airflow and also for the clean look. I was wondering that if I remove everything, and reassemble it back together will I lose all my files that I have if I remove everything, just like how you have no files when you first build a pc? Thanks in advance.

Alright, thanks. I'll try that out when I get my GPU. I'll grt back to you when it happens. But just in case, should I back it up?

No, because you have already backed up because we are always meant to have things backed up.

personally i wouldnt bother with a sytem back up but you should always have your important data backed up. photos, work documents, etc. Even if its on a cheap usb key. Do that at least.

close the thread by picking best solution and open a new thread if you encounter any probs. enjoy the new GPU

Thanks for the quick feedback and help. Very much appreciated.
