Disc to usb

I just found out my friend got a copy of windows 7 but I don't have an optical drive, so will it work if I put all the info on a usb, and if that will work how do I boot?

Well, there is a program called Iso to USB. That program will take all the files from the iso and put it on the usb. and when its on the usb you should be able to just find with your BIOS. Hope that answered your question[=

It is probably a good idea to have a dvd drive available regardless.

A sata dvd drive is about $15.
For occasional use, you do not even need to mount the drive in a case.
Or... a usb attached dvd burner is about $30.
