Disconnected external hard disk still showing in This PC, and getting frequent messages that it's nearly full

I disconnected an external hard disk some time ago, but it is still showing in 'This PC' (windows 10) plus, when I disconnected it, it was nearly full, so i keep getting annoying pop up messages saying the drive is almost full - but it's no longer connected! Any idea how to resolve please?

Did this just start recently?
This is almost certainly an after effect of the 1803 Win 10 update.

Screencap of your Disk Management window, please.

Easy fix if it is.

Easy fix if it is.

Sorry for delay replying, and thanks for your time. Yes, I think it did start after windows update. (But then that also coincided with when I detached the drive...) Screen cap below. The offending drive is drive K.

Yep, that K "drive". An after effect of the 1803 Win 10 update.
Remove that drive letter via the comandline. Here: https://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/153261-fix-windows-10-1803-update-new-full-drive-creation
