Hi guys , so my son has been playing xbox for way to long and i am trying to get him to go outside. i want to block the xbox from the network so it disconnects him when he goes on for to long. is there any program that i can use to do this so i dont have to manually take the Ethernet wire from his room every time.

Depends if your router has the capability. Many routers have parental controls that allow you to set time of day and such. Not sure about number of hours or bandwidth. Those require more abilities than most routers have. You would need a server acting more as a firewall to do that.

You should be able to block his ip/mac in most routers rather than physically take the cable. He of course if he is creative can bypass that.

How would i go about blocking the xbox ip, even though it is wired to the router?
