Question Disconnecting D: drive makes F: drive disappear.

Hello friends,
I have had this issue for a couple years but I never bothered to fix it because I just didn't care that much. Now I would like to replace my 1TB HDD (cuz old and slow) so the issue has come up again. I have 3 drives in my PC all connected thru SATA, C: (120gb ssd) F: (120gb ssd) and D: (1TB HDD). Well when I disconnect D drive it also makes it so that F drive disappears from the list of connected drives. It also goes away in the BIOS. As long as all 3 drives are connected, everything is fine, its very strange. This has stumped me so any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Here is a screenshot of my Disk Management for reference.

Just disconnected D and rebooted and F remained visible.... My pc likes to make me look like a liar I guess? I tried it twice yesterday with no luck... Sorry to waste your time!

At least it is working now.
