Disconnecting from Games and Discord

So I have had this persisting problem for a while now of disconnecting games and discord calls at the same time. I play on an MSI Ge62vr laptop, and this problem didn't occur until a while after I bought the laptop. It started showing up when I played PUBG. I would be in a game and I disconnect whether i'm in a call or not (randomly) and would have to close the game, reopen it, and hope i'm not dead and try to rejoin. Now that I play fortnite a lot more, the problem has become a lot more annoying considering you can't reconnect to a game in fortnite. I noticed that whenever I have these disconnections (in both games) I freeze, unable to move or do anything in the game, and I can no longer hear my friends in the call. I have tried looking for a solution on many forums, once finding theory that Norton was causing it. After deleting Norton from my computer I believe the problem stopped for a little bit before reoccurring and bothering me again. If anyone thinks they have a solution or idea as to how I can stop the problem, i'd greatly appreciate it.

Solution
Since it is both Discord and games at the same time, it sounds like your internet is dropping out. It is possible that some program (like Norton) is slowing your machine and I could see that causing problems in games, but you shouldn't drop out of Discord, so I think you should investigate the network first.

First, open a command prompt and enter "tracert google.com". This will show you all the routers you go through to get to google. What we are interested in the transition between your home network and your ISP. If you are using just one box (router/modem) between you and your ISP, then the first router listed will be yours (192.168.1.1 or something similar) and the second will be your ISP (some address not starting with 192.168 or...

If you have 2 boxes, then we want to look at the 2nd and 3rd IP addresses listed in tracert.
Second, from a command prompt enter "ping -n 50 x.x.x.x" where the x.x is your router. If you have any packet loss, then there is a problem with your network.
Third, from a command prompt enter "ping -n 50 x.x.x.x" where the x.x is your ISP's router. If you have more than 1 packet lost, you should call your ISP and ask them to test the connection (no need to send a technician yet ... see what the test says).

This will give you a bit of a snapshot on what is going on, but it only runs for a minute so it might not catch anything. The next step is to open 2 command prompts and do "ping -n 1000 x.x" in each, using your router and your ISP. Then fire up PUBG and wait for a freeze. Alt-tab out and look at your pings.

Let us know what you find out.

Solution
Hey so - not to piggy back here, but first time poster and I usually just resolve the stuff myself.
I've done clean install of drivers, Killer-N software all gone -> fresh install and new clean drivers again -> now checking command prompt.

I had both pings going for my modem and my ISP and my Apex Lagged, saw my discord get disconnected... and 0% loss on both pings...

ISP
Packets: Sent = 1000, Received = 1000, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 20ms, Average = 2ms

MODEM
Packets: Sent = 1000, Received = 1000, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 4ms, Average = 0ms

I'm at a loss what to do..
