Disconnections And Dns problems.

Hello people of toms hardware,i always found an answer when it came to a problem in the past through this website but unfortunately today i came across a tough scenario.
I keep getting disconnected ,and through relevant searching i spotted a mixed case.
Long story short i either get a disconnection from my hotspot(new router due to having the same problem with older one,persists only to my computer rest of the devices have a stable connection)
or a dns problem which varies (Dns_prob_start/finish,ERR NETWORK DISCONNECTION)
(Through windows troubleshooter :
1)Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding
2)DNS Server Not Responding
3)your computer is trying to use a dns server that is incorrect or doesn't exist .)
I just cant think of any solutions.
I use usb wifi adapter since my desktop is quite far from the router.

Many things blame DNS when the problem is there is no network connectivity at all. The problem is very different if you can get to nothing compared to only the DNS server not responding.

Your first test would be to ping 8.8.8.8 (which happens to be a dns server). This ip is good to test because it actually is duplicated in many cities so it tends to always respond.

So if that will respond then change your DNS to 8.8.8.8 4.2.2.2 also tends to be another DNS server if you do not like google.

well i tried playing with dns,drivers etc,problem is that while there is a connection since router can be accessed i cannot connect to any ip.
such is the luck of mine.

another thing to add is that its not always vissible,so lets say i test it now,it will most likely respond but i will get disconnected the momment afterwards.

It really sounds like your internet connection maybe going down. If you can get into your router but you have no internet connectivity then the problem is your internet.

If you are having issues connecting to the router then you need to check using a ethernet cable to be sure it is not just a wireless issue. Wireless gets all kinds of strangeness because of interference coming in from outside your house.

well as i have mentioned i unfortunately cannot use ethernet,it would take a wholes day worth of drilling holes to do that ,and i rent the place sigh*

You can always run a ethenet cable over the floor to test.

Your main problem will be is if it is a wireless issue then you have few option. You blindly replace equipment and hope it helps
