[SOLVED] Discrete graphics card stops working on laptop

I have a NVIDIA GeForce MX250 that might stop working randomly, it will not give any usage on task manager and games that uses that graphics card will crash. I continue to receive video output through the integrated graphics and the discrete GPU won't come back to life until a restart. This doesn't happen much but I would like to know why it happens.
I have the latest drivers installed

Specs:
CPU: i7-10510U
RAM: 16 GB 2667Mhz
SSD: Intel 660p
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce MX250

Typically the driver crashed and couldn't recover and since you never really shutdown anymore (since Win8) it doesn't get to 'load fresh' again until you restart.
