Hey guys, I got a problem with my LG Super Multi Drive (BH12LS38). I am running Windows 7 64 bit and whenever I try playing a DVD in VLC I get this error:
"Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'dvd:///D:/'. Check the log for details."
I have tried playing it with Windows Media Player and PowerDVD, both of which insist there is no disc in the drive. When I try and open a DVD or Blu-ray from My Computer it either treats it as blank (asking me if I want to use it like a flashdrive) or tells me to insert a disk. I've tried several disks, all of them commercial (no pirated DVD-Rs). I know it's not a region issue because even region-free discs won't play.
The drive used to work fine. I have the latest drivers, I have tried uninstalling the drive and letting the computer detect it to make sure it isn't dead... does anyone have any idea what might be causing this behaviour?
EDIT: I'm thinking now that it might have something to do with Daemon Tools, it was shortly after I installed it that I started having this problem. I don't have any virtual drives active at the moment.
