Disk 100% Usage when installing programs

Hey all i recently did a clean install of windows 8.1 an since then, since i try to install a program (any size) the computer lags really really hard and the disk stays at 100% usage at all time.

Any solution?

Sounds possible that the HDD is failing.

No fix for that if it's true.

Hi,

What your computer config ?
If you look at resources monitor, you can find out what process is hogging out the disk.
If you computer is old, it might be that windows is downloading update thus taking all the resources.
I don't think you HD is failing. Especially if it was working ok before.
You can download hard disk sentinel trial to check your HD health
Boot in safe mode to see if the problem persist.

My computer is just 1 Year Old.
So before try to install anything disk usage is at 3%, when i start any installation quickly climbs to 100%.

the only information i get is "Windows Installer 0,1 MB/s".

I also noticed that windows installer in the task manager says x32 and my system is x64. could that be the problem?
