Hello, so I’ve been having problems where my pc stutters hard in certain games and I tried looking at what the issue was and saw that a lot of the time my disk goes to 100% usage... is that normal? Sometimes it’s in the 2%-40% range. And is there a way to fix it or should I get a new disk? Here is a image that might help -(accidentally put 109% instead of 100%)

No, not normal at all. open Resource monitor > Disk and see what exactly is it doing.
Okay I did but I don’t know how to read it... maybe you can

This is before I launched a game

This is after - keep in mind it’s not always at 100% sometimes it drops.

Took those two at the same time I don’t know if it helps ^
Could this be the reason my game sometimes stutters?

well it says I have 8gb ddr4-2666 sdram so I don't know whats wrong
I would assume 2GB has been assigned to the integrated graphics, I see 2 gpu’s listed in task manager so assuming you have integrated graphics. If I’m correct you can go into the BIOS and either disable the integrated graphics or reduce the RAM allocated to it to as low as it will go.

If you do this going from 6 to 8 GB is a 33% increase in RAM available to the system. It should help. 8GB still is low end these days so you may still see caching to the drive during games but hopefully it will be reduced.

I have the exact same problem have 8gb ram and a seagate 1tb hdd when i play some high texture games the game stutters when the game tries to load the textures ingame and AFTER the gaming the pc becomes unusable for 2 mins while steam is using 100% of the disk.

uh... could you give me a detailed response on how to do it pls? Sorry for the late response haha. I looked all over youtube and can't find a way to disable the integrated graphics on BIOS. Also whenever I open BIOS it says HP Utility instead - I don't know if that's normal, and in it I couldn't find graphics anywhere.
