Disk boot failure on test boot

I'm a complete noob and just did a test boot today. Everything is good, cpu and ram work well, but I get a disk boot failure when starting up the bios. I dont have my hard drive plugged to the mobo but I just wanted to know if thats normal. Thank you for your help!

Yup it is normal. It detected that it's not connected. Or a hdd isnt connected

If you don't have a disk with an OS installed, then that sounds normal to me.
