Disk can't play on a Laptop

So this question that I have, I don't have the most information, but I'll try to give as much as I can. Someone I know is trying to play a cd on their computer, but every time that they put it in, they can hear that the disk reader is spinning, but they never have a media player open. They then went and started looking in where you would look at your multiple drives that you would have on a computer, but they couldn't find it there either. Is there any help that you can give me with just this info? (P.S. I'll try to provide any more info if you need it)

So far, It's just been that one disk.

I don't know if this is the same as on a different PC, but they tried it in a DVD player, and that didn't work. As of that, it has something for a bible study.

sound like the issue is with the cd. did someone make their own cd? they might have did it wrong.

They said that bought this CD. So I'm not saying it is not the CD, but it's possible because I'm not sure where they got it from.

Since it doesn't work anyway, ask for it and see if it a valid cd.
