Disk error repairing

Yesterday I was doing work on pc suddenly it showed a message that "Ur pc ran into a problem".and there was a irritating sound coming so I restarted it after showing my Intel motherboard the screen doesn't shows anything then I inserted my boot disk to repair for 6hourd it didn't repair. And when I tried to format my pc it is stuck at "setup is starting".

Please provide the system specs. Is the OS drive a HDD or SSD ? If its a HDD, that "irritating sound" may have been the last gasp of a dying drive. Unless otherwise advised install a different drive and load windows.
