Alright so i just built my first computer, its got an
intel i3 4370
h97m pro 4 motherboard
samsung 850 evo ssd 120gb
Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD7500BPVT 5400 RPM 750gb
8gb corsair vengeance ram
EVGA 600w power supply
plus a dvd drive, idk what its called haha

Anyway, im trying to use my ssd as my main program harddrive, so i can have fast performance on a few things, but my other hard drive for general storage. I was trying to split my hdd into two volumes, ones as backup for my ssd, and the other for general use but this error message keeps happening and ever since i tried setting it as backup, it pops up every few minutes

If you guys have any idea how to fix this, or setup my harddrives for the best use id be very happy =)

thank you all again

But it has no data on it, and it only had said that after i tried to set it as the backup drive... it was perfectly fine before that.. is it just because it hadnt been tested before that or something? also its only about 3 years old

A hard drive doesn't need data on it to be faulty - - Drive failure has nothing to do with data.
It's the drive itself - it's electronics or it's moving parts inside (eg the spinning platters, the read/write heads and the mechanism which moves them across the platters).

I've had hard drives fail after only 6 months.

Even brand new hard drives (never used) can be faulty, and they've never had any data on them. Do you get it?
I hope you do - - I can't explain any clearer than I have already and I'm not following this thread any longer.
