Disk Management trouble (Unallocated part)

Hey,

I just bought a new SSD and cloned my previous SSD (barely 50GB space of which 30 was used), to my new one which is 240GB.
When I booted it up I noticed only 50GB of it was allocated and the rest (180GB) is unallocated.
I think normally one would be able to expand the volume so that it uses all of the SSD's volume, right?

See that's the problem if I right click it it gives me the option to shrink but not to extend.

The 178GB is unallocated and can therefore not be shrinked.

You can't delete an unallocated partition.

I believe it is because there is that 1GB partition in the middle. To extend into the 180GB space, they have to be next to each other.

I thought that too, although I have no idea on what that 1GB partition is and if it's okay to get rid of it, and how to do so?

I don't know what it is either, but I wouldn't get rid of it.

It seems to be an OEM Partition which is a recovery disk. Since the previous SSD is shop bought (all in pc) that was probably put on it by the manufacturer. I see on several sites that its safe to delete, but I would want to back it up first, just in case. Any idea how to do this?

Any of the clone/migration/imaging applications should be able to image that partition.

Or, something like Partition Magic might be able to 'move' it. So the two other partitions in question are next to each other, and extendable.

It worked now, I backed up the OEM partition using Reflect.
Then I deleted the partition following these steps .
After that I was able to extend the volume of the primary partition.
