Disk Read Error please help

So I was going to install a new copy of Windows and then for some stupid reason I formatted my hard drive and now it shows the info "disk read error" and I don't know what to do.

if your formatted the drive then theres nothing on it. that why you get a disk read error. there's nothing to read.

1. is there important data on the hard drive.

no - go ahead and install windows

yes- do you have a back up of data?
no - we need to attempt to restore the data you erased
yes- you can restore the files using the backup



*****its very important if you need information on the drive do not do anything till you get directions on how to recovery formatted files
