Hello fellow geeks!
Recently my pc crashed while I was using it. I was running windows 10 tech preview, when I got a light blue crash screen (similar to BSOD) but its looked like the windows 7 theme. Now when i boot up my PC I get a disk read error with the Ctrl+Alt+Del Prompt.
My setup is as such.
Windows 10 preview x64
AMD fx 8350
Sapphire Vapor X R9 280x
Corsair vengeance 8gb (2x4)
Samsung 840 evo
WD elements blue 1TB
Corsair cx 750m PSU
I have done some troubleshooting, and found when I swapped out my 840 evo SSD for my brothers working 840 evo (with windows 7) which works fine and boots normally. I haven't done any software tests of the RAM but its seems to work on my brothers PC.
My real question is how should I go about fixing the SSD? What options do I have before trying to wipe the drive and install windows 7 back on it? I do have a backup of Windows 7 x64 prior to installing the tech preview, although this will require a clean wipe before restoring. I really hope I don't need a new SSD.
Thanks
Josh
