Disk Space constantly at 100% usage [Windows 10]

My task manager records an almost consistent maximum usage of the hard drive right from bootup. The image below is a screenshot of the first moments of the PC being on. I've heard windows 10 shows false positives for this usage, and I've tried the methods of disabling some of the extraneous features that come along with the operating system. It is very possible that my hard drive is at its wits end, but before purchasing a new one I'd like to rule out any other problems.

The hard drive model is an ATA Hitachi HDS72101.

I had come across the same thread, but for some reason there was no "IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers" tab in my device manager. Not sure if I'm misunderstanding or not (maybe only for ssd's?). Thank you for your time anyway.
