Disk structure is structure is corrupted and unreadable. HDD 2TB

My computer wouldn't wake up from sleep once so I held the power button down and turned it off. Ever since my D drive has been unreadable. I have already tried CHKDSK. Any suggestions?

Take it out.
Does the system boot properly?
If so, obtain a USB dock for it.
Power the system up, connect this mostly dead drive.
See if you can pull any data off of it.

its not a usb drive its a hard disk drive connected with sata

Right.
But is it preventing the system from starting up properly? A bad drive, even a secondary, will often do that.
