i am facing the problem. My disk usage is always 100%.This make my laptop really slow while copying things. i have tried every possible solution available on the net. STRANGE THING IS THAT IT SHOWS 100% WHEN IT IS 3 Mb/Sec AND ALSO AT 45 Mb/sec. ONLY last week i have purchase it

If you got it last week I would recommend resetting it back to factory settings/reinstall the operating system. If it still does it return it. You may have gotten a bad hard drive with your new machine. As a supervisor of a tech depth I see a lot of people who take a machine home and get a virus or malware within days... resetting it will rule out a virus causing the problem. Then the only thing left is a dud hard drive that could be the issue.

Most times when I've experienced this problem it was caused by something caused scvhost.exe, which always turned out to be a malware infection. Have you tried going to Task Manager and sorting by CPU to see what is causing the problem?

The one thing that always seems to clear it is Malwarebytes. If you install it, make sure you select the FREE (NO PRO), otherwise you'll activate the trial and it will expire after one week. All you need is the free version.

It's possible your anti virus software could be providing "Active Protection" and is just being a resource hog.

If possible try turning off your virus protection, or even un-installing it completely.

*edit* SVChost.exe is NOT malware, it's Windows software that can execute .dll files.

You don't seem to understand malware that much.. Many times it disguises itself as svchost.exe
read this:

Or just use any search engine for SVChost.exe malware or virus.

If I offended you... I apologize.. I just wanted to give accurate information and help the person resolve their problem because I wanted to be helpful.

Thank you for the insult about the e-peen.

Ok, found a solution from another website, it's simple:
From the Windows Menu, go to Settings, then go to System and then go to Notifications and Actions. Turn off "Show Me Tips About Windows". That's it. It takes maybe a minute or two to lower the disk usage and I would recommend ending any process in task manager that's making the disk usage go up in the meantime. Usage percentage should go down and stay around 1-2%.
