Hi.
Lately I've been running into a frustrating issue. At random intervals my task manager will say my disk is at 100%, thus causing various things to hang/freeze. Generally all I run is: Skype, Discord (never both at the same time), Steam, and F.lux. Occasionally google chrome, but I usually only have around 2 or 3 tabs open. Games run pretty well, but because of the random disk spikes my games will occasionally freeze or crash.

According to Task Manager, my Disk is a TOSHIBA DT01ACA100

I bought this computer from Newegg, on October 20th, and it only started doing this a few days ago. some help would be appreciated.

Every time you experience it, don't lose the opportunity to find out what's causing it by opening up Task Manager and on the Processes tab, find out what is draining so much of your HDD and then google it to find out a way to get rid of it.
In my case it was Windows Defender along with what's on the video I posted for you.
If I'm not mistaken the process name was MsMpEng.exe the causer of my troubles.

This page shows a man with the same problem complaining about it at MS' official site:

This YT video shows an easy way to get rid of it, if it's your case as well:
