I have had Windows 10 for awhile but this problem suddenly popped up out of the blue. While playing any game my Disk Usage would spring up to a 100% at first I thought it was just the game but when I go into Task Manager it showed the game using about 15 MB/s and System using around 24 MB/s I restated my computer and set the game to High Priority and it worked for about 15 minutes. This is very annoying because my GPU and CPU run the games just fine but the process is lagging my games by being a resource hog.

Specs:
PSU- Corsair CX600 @600W
GPU- EVGA GeForce GTX 950 SC+
CPU- Intel Core i5-4430 @3.00GHz
RAM- 8.00 GB GDDR2
OS- Windows 10 Home 64-bit
HDD- Seagate Barracuda 1TB

If you are able to, in the advanced power options set the HDD to never sleep or disable power saving mode(although you made need software to disable power saving). If this doesn't work use software given by Seagate to test the drives health.

Yes it has gotten up to 100% Usage while idle in the past not very often though. The process System is normally at fualt. It has also used more than half of my ram usage as well on occasion.
