my pc specs -
cpu - Intel core i5 4460 3.20 GHz
motherboard - (manufacturer) ASUSTek COMPUTER INC. (model) H81M-PLUS
memory - 8 gb DDR3
gpu - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

Whenever I load up games such as PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds or even Photoshop my disk usage hits 100% causing my PC to run really slowly, any idea how to fix this also on PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds i average 40 fps

Solution
Continuous disk activity means you either have a lot of swapping or data reloading going on. In either case, your options are to either close background stuff to reduce swapping and make more memory available for the file cache or upgrade the RAM.
Sounds like the fps I'd expect from that game on your rig.

Disk usage always goes to 100% when loading stuff on any decent system with a hard drive. That's why ssds load faster. The hard drive is the slowest part of a computer when loading things
