At first i thought the problem was with my gpu card so i replaced it with an asus geforce gtx 950 and the problem is persisting. The problem came when updating my drivers so I think I must have uninstalled the wrong driver, there is still no display adapter after physically installing my new graphics card.
How will I get my computer to recognise the display adapter in device manager? Does the problem about drivers come from loss of motherboard drivers or a windows driver problem?

You could attempt a system restore, though it would seem a bit drastic.

Have you... gone into Device Manager, clicked 'View', and ticked/checked 'Show hidden devices'?

Though I do wonder what prompted you to think you had a problem with your old graphics card and what this problem is which still persists.
