Watching a video when suddenly the monitor loses picture (still has power and back-light) and all USB devices stop responding (Keyboard and Mouse both still have power and are lighting up but phone stops charging). CPU is still powered on and LED and fans are operational. No error code on MB and nothing seems to have stopped working. Its like the computer went to partial sleep but my power settings have no sleep mode and second nothing would wake it up. Its a brand new build (about 2-3 weeks old) and this is the second time I have had the issue. Have to do a hard reset to get PC to power up and then starts with no issues. Have the following build:

MB: MSI X99a- Godlike
GC: nVidia GTZ 980
Processor: Intel i7-5820k
OS: Win 10

Thanks in advance for any help anybody might be able to provide. Countless hours searching and nobody situations seem to mirror mine. Do want to say I have already tried ensuring all power saving modes have been turned off, including both mouse and keyboard auto-power off, and have ensured all drivers are up to date. Again thank you.

Corsair 1000w power supply. All temperatures are good running at about 28 C. Processor is overclocked but was done by the company when purchased.

If it was built by a company, did you contact them? No need to mess with a system when it should have a full warranty on it still if its only a few weeks old.

It does have a full life time warranty, however just seeing if anybody has encountered this before and if it had a simple solution. Only happened once so will not contact manufactur unless it occurs again. Just wanted to get a better insight into the possible issue.
