i just ordered my benq xl2420t and i already have one 23" 60hz monitor i was wondering if i could run them at the same time for instance play games on the benq at 120hz and watch a movie or somethin on the 60hz? would that give me a problem i have gtx 670 and i5 quad core oc at 3.8ghz and everythin else is pretty good too

It's quite possible to run 2 monitors with different refresh rate. But, it may be better to put both at the same refresh rate if you extended the desktop.

i know its possible but i was wondering if it'd run just as good as a single 120hz you know. would the 120hz lag or the 60hz monitor lag if i play games on the benq monitor and watch somethin on the 60hz one at the same time

No, as long as you don't extend the desktop (meaning the desktop is shown across both monitors) and keep the 2 displays separate, it would be fine.

another question tho does it matter which outputs i use from the video card? like both should run on dvi i or one dvi one hdmi 1.4 is ok ?

Doesn't matter.

If one of your monitor's have a built-in speaker and you want to use it, then use the HDMI. Otherwise, use DVI.
