Question Display completely glitching out

Soooo.... My girlfriend lent me her laptop, and as I got home and turned it on, the screen was completely glitched out, moving by itself, flashing, colorful, as if someone had kicked it.
What can I do?
Will I have to take it to a repair shop?
Or is it over for this old thing?
