Hi, I'm posting here about a problem my friend is having with his pc, so I need some advice. We play CS:GO, and his system is an i5-3570K at 3.4 ghz, with a HD 7950. When he first assembled the PC at his brothers house and tested it, he was getting ~200 FPS in CS:GO. Now, however, he is getting ~70. When looking at his rig to try and determine the problem, I noticed that he had his monitor plugged into his motherboard, meaning he was using onboard graphics, correct? I realized that he was using a VGA cable, and his GPU only has HDMI and DVI ports. So, would this be the cause of the extremely low FPS? Would getting him a HDMI to VGA adapter solve the problem? If not, what else would you recommend? Thank you for any help you can provide!
