I'm not sure if this is the right board to post on, but I recently built a computer and I received a copy of The Outer Worlds with the processor and I played it for about 30 minutes and my computer was running it fine. It ran really smooth without having any lagging or drops in frame rate or anything, but when I quit the game my display was really dark. I tried turning up the brightness on the computer and the display and it didn't noticeably change at all, the brightness was fine though when I was playing the game. I thought that restarting the computer would help so I set the brightness back to where it was originally, but after it started back up again the color was way over saturated to the point where I could barely read anything. I tried looking through different thing on the computer before I found that there was an update available. I updated the computer and the color went back to where it was supposed to be, but then when I tried playing the game again today the display got really dark again after I quit the game.

The CPU is AMD ryzen 3700x
GPU: msi radeon 5700 xt
Aorus x570 elite motherboard
Antec 650w power supply
The weird thing is that it only happens when I play this game, I was playing Apex legends last night for about 3 hours and nothing happened with the display. I was playing at max settings the whole time and the temperature never got too high or anything.

When you are done with the game have you gone in to your amd gpu control panel and check to see if the amd settings have changed? In Nvidia control panel there is an option to check uncheck using Nvidia settings. (basically return to the settings you set in the control panel) Perhaps amd control panel has this?
