"Display driver has stopped responding, has recovered"?

So I finally installed BL2 yesterday, and I love it to bits. But I have run into numerous problems while playing the game.

I can max out all the settings to high (excluding physx) and it works great. Only problem is my CPU goes from 03% to 53% during gameplay (for anyone asking, i'm using that desktop gadget that let's you see your percentages)

Also, after around an hour of gameplay, the game freezes, goes to black for 5 seconds, and then my desktop pops up with "Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered". I'm pretty sure that's not good for the PC, and i'm a little concerned about it.

I'm 501% my PC can run it, my specs are:

CPU: AMD Athalon II 3.1mhz 4-core
GPU: AMD XFX Radeon 7750 running version 8.980.0.0 drivers
RAM: 6 gb

Also, it might be worth noting my PC doesn't get hot at all while playing the game, and there is plenty of ventalation. There is nothing but cool air blowing out the vents in gamplay.

Cheers

Yea i would try diffrent drivers as well, but what he said also try testing your GPU with GPU-Z free small tool, be sure to turn on the log function when you want to play and test so it writes stuff directly to the document to check if stuff works.

Anywayz, i also recommend downloading 3Dmark and test your GPU with that.

Do other games crash as well? might just be that game.
That happens when your gpu crashes it could have to do with bad drivers. Maybe you could try older versions or beta. It could also be a sign of your graphics card overheating. Could you monitor your gpu temps while you game?

no, I had the same problems and ihave tried unistalling the older drivers and installing new ones, but noting worked, and then i remmemberd that i overclocked my GPU and everytime booted up my PC that error poped out and i went to the overclocking software ( EVGA Precision,MSI Afterburner etc.) and i lowered the clock speed and that stuff and i helped me thats probably happening becaue of overheating or something i don't know hope i helped . Cheers ! :)

Other games have no problems running on high, TF2, Sonic Generations, Portal 2, Half Life 2, Skyrim.

Seems to just be this game.
