Hello friends,
my Viewsonic VX2758-2KP-MHD has suddenly stopped functioning normally. It started showing many coloured vertical lines. (it looks something like this) Behind these lines the PC is still usable, but the monitor itself is unresponsive: It does not let me turn it off or use the built-in menu.
If I unplug the monitor and then plug it back in, it works normally for a minute or two with the picture being clear and the monitor itself being responsive to inputs. After a short time, the lines appear again and the monitor is again unresponsive.
It does not look like a PC software issue to me. I was for example able to reproduce the error in BIOS.
Other things I have tried: Switching power cables, switching between display cable and hdmi cable, reinstalling viewsonic monitor driver. My secon monitor, connected via the hdmi cable works completely fine and normal.
I expect it's a hardware issue and the monitor is toast. I just wanted to ask if anyone has experience with a similar problem and if it might be repairable (within a reasonable price range) or if I should just buy a new monitor.
Thanks for answering!
