[SOLVED] Display flashing

Hi guys. Thank you reading the post. I have a issue that I hope to find the answers here. I recently brought a Huawei Mateview GT 165hz 3440x1440p monitor and I have a RX 580 4GB installed in my system. At first I used a displayport cable to achieve the 165hz at 1440p, however, when I used a displayport the screen will just keep on flashing and flickering. So I tired using a HDMI cable and it ran just fine but the only issue is that I can't use 165hz at 1440p as it only supports upto 100hz. Is there any fix to this issue?

Yes, get a Vesa certified DP cable. Club3D or Accell to name a couple. HBR3 specified and no more than 1.8m. Flickering is result of a badly made cable or is too long.

Did the DP cable come with the monitor or you buy separately?
