Display flickers after inserting vga in in vga out of laptop

Hi guys. What I did is that I connected my cctv dvr to my laptop vga port. I was not knowing that laptop vga port are only vga out. When I inserted my screen started restarting and lots of flickering. I immediately removed vga cable. Now after many days also my screen flickers (although less but frustrating) and I am not able to cure it. Please help as I have not found any solutions on google.

You probably short circuited something and it's broken. I don't think there is a solution.

I changed the display mode to extended by pressing win key + p. Flickering is decreased but still present. Can it be fully eliminated.
