Hi all,
I'm having quite a headache from trying to troubleshoot this issue.
CPU: Intel i-5 3470
GPU: Asus HD 7750
Mobo: Asrock Z77 Extreme4
Display: Dell 23" 1920 x 1080 (16:9)
Whenever I play Fifa 12 or Fifa 13(newly bought and updated), the screen turns to a fixed colour (usually white or green, with stripe pattern) within 3 - 15 minutes. The computer hangs, all input devices don't seem to do anything but the audio continues and I have to hard reset it.
This problem only occurs when I use the dedicated GPU. I don't get problems by using the onboard graphics (straight to mobo) but the game is quite lag, understandably.
However, the Asus HD7750 does not give me a single problem when I play Warcraft 3, or use any other windowed programs for an extended period of time. I do not think PSU has got to do with this problem.
Directx and catalyst control, mobo bios are all up to date.
I'm suspecting it to be a software problem, probably something to do with directx but I cannot trace it down. Dxdiag shows no problem, but should I try downgrading from DX11 to DX9? Will it solve?
