Question Display freezes on new PC ?

Display freezing on new PC, was fine for 3/4 days now randomly does it, freezing & goes black when on desktop.
Ive tried some things already, now everytime its done it since its only been in game,I presume it has something to do with graphics card, Not only when in game also when just on desktop it freezes the display however i can still hear audio and i can tab out etc

My solutions which may work:

1. Reinstall all your NVIDIA drivers.
2. Update to newest drivers.
3. Try rolling back your drivers.

If those doesn't work, I would suggest you reinstalling your windows, because your nviddmkm.sys data is corrupted.

I would strongly recommend you to reinstall your OS, because Video TDR Failure somehow killed my GPU.

already have tried all of the above, kind of lost for ideas now

If you tried everything (Reinstalling your OS too) try going with another Graphics card, because it may be the card fail.

Try playing without any drivers so you can see if drivers corrupt that file.

I will say since I’ve reinstalled windows

used my 1080 from previous build, seemed fine for the hour i used it, however this 3070 could go hours at a time without doing it so not 100% thatt rules anything out, im gonna send it back to where i purchased it for them to test as theres nothing much more i can really do

I switched back to windows 10 and everything seems to be fine today, no idea if pure coincidence or if windows 11 actually couldve been causing the issue.

I've heard that win 11 can cause freezing but I wasn't sure.

Yeah wasn’t the issue but made it a whole lot less frequent
