Display not rendering images properly

Hi guys, this has been happening for a while now on Steam and Internet Explorer. All or parts of images won't render completely, instead displaying jagged rainbow colored lines instead. Below is an example of the problem. Does anybody know what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks.

If it's relevant, my display is a Dell S2240L, running off an NVIDA Geforce GTX 660 Ti.

Does your computer have any type of integrated graphics you could switch to, to narrow it down to the GPU?

Does it also do this on games?

What are the temps on your video card at idle and under load?

Thanks for the response. I disabled dedicated graphics, but the problem persisted, which I guess narrows this down to a software problem.

The problem has only ever occurred in browsers such as IE or Steam, never in game or on desktop.

What I meant was the opposite. Hook your display up to the integrated and see if the problem persists. If it doesn't, then it's most likely a problem with your GPU or drivers. If it does, then it's probably a software issue with Windows.

So I just reinstalled Steam, which fixed the issue. Thanks for your time anyway.
