Display not turning on from sleep

I recently upgraded to a Geforce GTX SC 1060 card.

Since then, my monitor will display "No signal" about 30% of the time when waking from sleep. This requires me to shut down the computer using the Power Button.

If "No signal" appears after waking my computer, my computer will never go back to sleep automatically.

All my drivers are up to date and everything in my computer is plugged in correctly. My mouse and keyboard both wake my pc up and "turn on" the monitor theoretically. But like I said, it only works about 70% of the time.

Thanks in advance.

Solution
I have had a similar problem.
With two monitors, occasionally, the second will not wake.
I fix it by powering the monitor off/on and using display panel detect to bring it alive.

Over a long time, I have concluded that it is the monitor's fault for not properly handling the sleep state.
Modern graphics cards will attempt to be aggressive in conserving power and some older monitors are not able to cope.
In my case, it is a Yamakazi Sparta 301.
