Question Display not working: default message is "HDMI 1 No Signal"

Hello

Recently I started building my own pc, those are the parts I picked.

This is my monitor: MSI MAG 274QRF QD E2

I have tried plugging HDMI and Displayport cables, both on the motherboard and GPU ports. But I only ever get a white glowing LED, then splash screen, and after a few seconds the message "HDMI 1 No Signal" shows, then the LED turns orange. That's it.

I checked if all cables are properly plugged in, and I can't find any faults. I also checked that the DP ends are all the way in, but it makes no difference.

How do I fix this?

Edit - my specs:
Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D
GPU: ASUS GeForce RTX 4070 Super 12GB Dual EVO
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB (2x16GB)
Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 A-RGB
Storage: WD Black SN850X with Heatsink x 2 (2TB + 1TB, empty)
Case: NZXT H7 Flow 2024 case
PSU: be quiet! Straight Power 11 750W 80 Plus Gold
Fans: NZXT stock fans x 3 (120mm, intake), Arctic P14 Max (140mm, intake)
Monitor: MSI MAG 274QRF QD E2
Peripherals: Wifi antenna that came with the B650 motherboard

These are all new. No OS installed.

Are you plugging into both the HDMI port and the DP port at the same time?

Clarify the video connections being used.

= = = =

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used)?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

List all attached peripherals.

Updated.

As for the video connections, I tested them alternately, but at one point I did have both HDMI and DP plugged to the monitor and motherboard at the same time, just to see if it made a difference. It didn't.
