Question Display on laptop not working after installing new RAM

Hey - just wondered if some one could help me on this one?

I installed some new RAM in my old 6910p today to upgrade to 4GB. But the display won’t come up....laptop seems to be functioning but no screen.

I popped the old RAM back in thinking this would bring it back to life but still had same issue with no screen coming up.

Any ideas of potential fixes?

Could you list your laptop model specs?

So while you list specs try looking at the hinges on your laptop when you open it. See if you can see the wire from the computer to the screen in the hinge try moving it around so it dosnt get pinched by the hinge. After moving it around a bit try a restart.

Not turned the laptop in a while so not sure exactly the specs. It’s a 2gb ram and a HP6910p laptop. No idea on the other specs but it’s the standard specs etc

I tried plugging through VGA and had no output on screen. Also toggled the wire from computer to screen and still no luck....:-{

Did you check on the wire in the hing?
