I've started having display issues recently, normally when I start my desktop my display start by displaying the motherboard brand then the window logo and then my account where I enter my password. But now the motherboard logo and windows logo shows but after that I get a blue/grey screen that stay still.

If I restart my computer then I'm directly having thar blue screen. If I disconnect the display port connecting my desktop to my monitor the blue screen is still there.

If i turn on and off my monitor again and again it stays blue and occasionally it light up by showing the logo of the monitor brand (here being AOC), that behavior is the same weither my desktop is connected to the monitor or not.

When the monitor display the brand logo usually it makes the password screen appear afterwards but that's not always the case.

If by luck I manage to go past all this and having my desktop fonctionna with the display working then I don't have any issue whatsoever until I decide to turn my desktop off OR just turning my monitor off bring me back to switching it on and off and having that blue screen.

Changing screen resolution is making the same blue screen, if I play a game in 1080p while my monitor is 1440p then trying to alt tab or close the game bring me to that same blue screen. Toggling HDR on and off as well.

I don't know what to do, I updated drivers, tried hdmi instead, disconnecting every câble from the monitor and removing any residual electricity. Nothing work and I still don't know what's the issue.

Ok, so there is no situation where the display will ever show "normal" colors ?

I suggest you do either one of two tests:
  • Bring the monitor over to another PC - preferably one that also have displayport. What result? Normal colors or same?
  • Borrow a new monitor or TV that feature a displayport. What result? Normal colors or same?

Only by some unknown rng I manage to get it working properly and having no issues like it never existed otherwise it's jsut stay blue/grey on startup or resolution change.

I did connect my monitor to my laptop and same stuff, no display, all the monitor options works though (there's a rgb behind the screen that I could manage to change while using the monitor power button and I know by clicking with my mouse I could hear the video being played for example just no display)

I will try tomorow to connect my desktop to another monitor I can find, so I will give you answer in 10h approximately
