I have an apu with an itx motherboard and the hdmi output on the mother board is broken. Now instead of buying a new motherboard I need something like a preferably 1 slot pcie card with hdmi on that card that will output display from the apu. Is there such a thing?

Apu is just cpu with graphics which motherboard video ports use to provide video from it. Going discrete gpu will bypass apu, connecting video cable to this instead.

Depending on rest of your specs, age etc, and power supply, will determine what is an adequate gpu to put in there.

I know all of that I need a non gpu option really as I cannot fit one in an itx setup. Just need to know of a pcie card that can output graphics from apu via hdmi

Not to expand video ports from apu no. Single slot gpu, no different to adding a pcie card of single slot right? What's your case?

My case is inwin chopin, is there also a possibility to output with usb to hdmi?

Yes it is with displaylink adapter
