Question Display Panel Type

Hi all

I’m no expert in displays but I’m looking to get a 27inch monitor,I saw an LGMK400M which is 1920x1080 75hz but it’s a TN Panel and I liked this Aoc Monitor which is also 27inch but has an IPS display. I also same a Samsung which had a PLS Display but don’t know what that means. Which out of the three should I go for regarding quality?ive always had IPS but this LG is on special and really looks nice.

Any help would be great.

Apologies inferior color reproduction, contrast ratios, and viewing angles. if you can get behind these go for the TN otherwise stay away from it.

No worries,mmm you definitely have a point I think I should just stick to what I no as there’s a lot of cons with the TN panel

TN panels have one thing going for them - refresh rates. That's why they are often used for gaming monitors that can do 144 - 240 Hz

If you are not a pro-gamer (or aspire to become one), going for IPS is much better choise with regards to picture quality and viewing angles.

I’m not really a heavy gamer I play but not serious. I just want a good quality monitor that’s got good movie picture quality and refresh. What about the PLS panel it says it’s more advanced than ips

For casual gaming and watching movies, both IPS and PLS are good.
