I am looking to build a SFF HTPC with a ryzen 2200G the "GIGABYTE GA-AB350N-Gaming WIFI " comes with HDMI 1.4 and a display port with support for a maximum resolution of 4096x2304@60 Hz as per specifications.
My 4k tv has HDMI 2.0. can I use an adapter hdmi 2.0 to DP and still get 4k 60hz? also when AMD APU finally becomes accepted for 4k Netflix will I be able to watch netflix 4k using the cable adapter? (ie. does that work for intel?)

thank you so much for your reply.
so there is no disadvantage of going for this board rather than the more expensive asus strix itx with hdmi 2.0 other than having to buy an adapter? all is hdcp 2.2 capable an sound ect?

And aren't active adapters dangerous to use? I keep hearing stories about people blowing up their gear when the adapter fails for whatever reason. Something to do with shorting out the signal and taking out the HDMI board. This sort of thing is absolutely catastrophic.

Has anyone reported this here? I read this stuff on Amazon and I really am not sure if I want to risk a $2k TV...maybe a new GPU instead of trying to get an existing GPU with DP. My WX3100 has no HDMI ports...weird huh?

I've never heard of anything like that happening.
