I would like to know if a display port cable can produce 1440p at 144hz ? Which version I need? 1.2a?

Also : what is the max of a DVI-D cable ? 1080p at 144hz? Can it go higher than 1080p?

Is an Hdmi 2.0 cable is capable of 1440p at 144hz ? I know it can produce 60hz at 4k but not sure of the rest... Thanks you guys very much!

Solution
1) 2560x1440 @ 144Hz-. DP1.2
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort#1.2

2) DVI-D->
2560x1600 @ 60Hz

3) HDMI 2.0?

*The issue here is probably what the MONITOR will allow. Most of the 144Hz monitors that have HDMI connectors only work at 1080p, 60Hz on the HDMI input so you'd have to check the monitor specs.

Summary:
In general, you need a DP1.2 or greater DisplayPort cable for 1440p, 144Hz. The other connections are for secondary computers or media devices.

DP 1.3 or higher works.

This is all stuff you can look up yourself 😛

It seems that HDMI 2.0 can also do 1440p@144Hz, but DP 1.3 can do it for sure

Thank you very much!!

Thanks !
