Display port adapter

Does a monitor with freesync through DisplayPort only work if I used a display port to hdmi adapter. My Xbox doesn’t have display port

There’s no real reason to get a FreeSync monitor for an Xbox, as I’m pretty sure it caps at 60fps. But to answer your question, yes HDMI to DisplayPort will support FreeSync as long as that monitor supports it. Research the monitor before you buy it to make sure it supports that.
