display port bad

i am still trying to figure the cause of my black outs, i have not recived any repley from safire, in which i put in two tickets,and none on toms hardware.but my research leads me to belive tat my display port cable could be the cause.it is stock cable that came with monitor.reading about black outs on folks using eye infinity ,experiencing black outs at random times.perhaps this is my issue as well.
