Display Port cable

Just bought a gtx 1050 zotac mini and it has 1.4 Displayport but i don't know the type of the port on my monitor (lenovo l2251p wide) (couldn't find any info) nearby pcshop only has a 1.2 cable and i know it could fit with my graphics card but wonder if it will be compatible with my monitor ?

It plugs into the displayport port.
It will be compatible, your monitor isn't good enough to push the higher specs of a 1.4 cable anyways.
